Why DIYTURF...
Most synthetic yards and grasses are
manufactured with straight shinny fibers (non spring-set) and are installed
using several inches of silica sand fill to assist in the standing-up of the
grass fibers. These deep sand filled grass systems expose about 20% of the
fibers with the remaining 80 percent buried in the sand infill. They require periodic
broom sweeping to keep the fibers standing upright and to keep the fiber blade
from matting down. In time, the deep sand infill can settle (compact) or wash
out. Deep sand filled grass is prone to matting.
Now, with the revolutionary Lazy Lawn Grass System there is no need for
"deep" sand-infill. Our Lazy Lawn turf fibers have been manufactured to
naturally stand up without the need for "deep" sand-infill. Our Lazy Lawn turf
is much more dense than most other sythetic turfs on the market. Our turf is
manufactured with dull, soft fibers for that natural real grass look.
